Where are you located?
Yankee Doodle Self Storage is located at 540 Yankee Doodle Road, Eagan, MN 55121.
When can I contact you?
We are available by appointment at (651) 303-6317 seven days a week between 8am and 8pm. We also are at Yankee Doodle Self Storage for much of the day. We answer the phone before and after office hours.
When can I access my unit?
Customers have 24-hour access to their storage units. When you store here, you have the opportunity of using anything you need during your move, including truck rentals, moving supplies, and an on-site kiosk.
How far are you from Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota?
We are less than ½ a mile away from the western border of Inver Grove Heights just west of Highway 55 and Argenta Trail. Feel free to store here if you live in Rosemount, Mendota Heights, Bloomington, and other surrounding communities.
What size units do you have?
Our units range from 5 x 5 to 10 x 30. Ceiling heights are 11 feet on the first floor and 9 feet on the second floor.
What Amenities and Features do you have?
- We are a locally owned and managed self-storage facility (Eagan and Inver Grove Heights residents).

- A no-touch (NoKe/no key) entry system that uses your smartphone (or key fob we give you) to open all the doors leading to your unit. and your unit door
- Automatic Garage Door Openers in 140 units
- Electric outlet/recepticle in 160 units
- All of our units are accessible without the need to get in an elevator.
- On the first level Drive-in and up to your storage unit on the first level and On the second level park and walk to your storage unit.
- Golf Simulator, the Albratross by Foresight Sports for storage customers use only. For the first 12 months of your rental receive 4 free hours a month, additional time is available at $20 an hour
How about temperature control?
Our facility is 100% climate controlled so cooling in the summer, heating in the winter. We offer a variety of storage units that can accommodate fragile items such as electronics, wooden furniture, artwork, and collectibles. Temperature control offers an extra layer of protection between your belongings and the extreme weather that sometimes affects the area.
Do you offer ground-level storage?
We have two levels. Both floors can be accessed without the use of stairs or an elevator. Having ground-floor access to your possessions is the most convenient option by far, whether you plan to take items in and out of storage regularly or prefer not to use elevators to reach your unit.
Car Storage?
We can do it. Just drive right in on the lower level and up to your unit.
Motorcycle Storage?
We can do it. Just drive right in on the lower level and up to your unit.
Or you can walk the motorcycle in on the second floor to any unit.
Boat storage?
We can do it. Just drive right in on the lower level and up to your unit.
Our unit doors are 8.5 ft wide and 8 ft high.
What kind of security do you have?
Our storage facility has more than 40 high resolution security cameras.
The units have motion that report to both the customers and owners smart phone or computer. The lock for the storage units is inside the unit making the units very difficult to break into. All of our units are inside a secure building.
How do I rent a unit?
Visitors can rent storage units online, from the comfort of their home, or with a real person by appointment. We prefer in person.
Do I need to remember a code?
No. You access your unit by an app. Our customers can get access to their units and move in anytime, all without having to come into the office.
Is it really all contactless?
Mostly, all customers benefit from no-touch access to the storage units.
We have automatic door openers on 140 units, so even those customer unit doors are no touch.
